The International Democratic Education Conference (IDEC) for 2025 will be held at Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Kathmandu, Nepal. IDEC is a global gathering that promotes Democratic Education and fosters community among educators, students, parents, and advocates around the world. For more information, see www.idecnepal.org.

Students at the school learn classical Indian dance as well as Nepali folk dance. They often present programs of their work to visitors to the ashram as well as others.

The International Democratic Education Conference (IDEC) for 2023 was hosted by Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Mandir in Kathmandu, Nepal. Over 500 people from 60 countries participated in the event, with 40 international speakers. They enjoyed workshops, discussion groups and networking opportunities.
